Q: Is it OK to wear black to a wedding? What about white? They're both so in right now.

A: "For black, it all depends on the time and the venue," says Claudia Hanlin of the Wedding Library, a New York City wedding resource center (theweddinglibrary.com). Black works for an evening affair in a formal setting, but you should opt for a lighter and more casual look for daytime I-dos-especially if the ceremony's somewhere like a tented lawn as opposed to a catering hall. And white? "I'd stay away," warns Hanlin. "Why risk raising a few eyebrows when there are so many other options?"
